I shot this beautiful family’s session over early Summer. Kassy contacted me and was hoping to get in quick for a family photography session because her husband was getting deployed soon! I’m so glad that there was room in my schedule to “pencil” (ok let’s be real, my scheduling is done with typing and phone app’s hahaha) them in! It was a BEAUTIFUL day, warm and full of my favorite kind of light! Their little guy is so cute too and we got so many amazing shots… here are just some of their final images!

Fall Mini Sessions | Milwaukee Wisconsin Family Photographer

One of the most BEAUTIFUL times of the year (FALL!) will be here before we know it! Unfortunately I will be traveling and busy with previously booked sessions for the majority of October, so I’ve decided to offer Fall Mini Sessions on two days to help with scheduling!

Session fee is $150 total and includes 8 to 10 hi-res digital images. After the deposit is made, the remaining balance ($100) will be due the day of session.

Dates: Friday, Oct. 14th and Sunday, Oct. 15th
* only 10 spots total available
Location: Heritage Trails Park on Cty. Hwy. E
* May change based on where the best fall foliage is – but will remain around the Hubertus/Richfield area! This location is about 35-40 minutes north of Milwaukee.

Count on cozy & rustic scenery like wood fencing and rich fall colors to set the tone for the fall minis. Fun accents of apples, pumpkins and fabric banners along with other props will be styled/provided too! I may even offer a cute “caramel apple stand” if all of the sessions get booked and I can convince my husband to help build one 😉

Session fee includes up to 6 immediate family members.

I am SO excited for these photo sessions and cannot wait to spend it with babies, kids, and families! Anything goes as far as who or why you want these done, whether you’re celebrating expecting an want it to be a mini maternity session or if you need up-to-date family photos, fall minis are the perfect choice.

Maternity Photography AND Newborn Photography | Wisconsin Photographer

Tiffany contacted me a few months prior to her son’s due date. She was a woman on a mission and knew what she wanted! Having two daughters and this being her first boy, it was reason alone to celebrate. Plus the fact her husband (who proudly serves our country, thank you!) would finally be around to celebrate this pregnancy through delivery made it even more special and important to capture both a maternity photography session and a newborn photography session. We talked a lot about their love of spending times outdoors whether it be on the lake or doing something else and picked the perfect location to incorporate that style into their session! We shot it right here at a local favorite place of mine in Hubertus, Wisconsin during my favorite time…golden hour! So much sunshiney goodness in these photos!

After having a blast getting to know Tiffany’s family during the maternity session, I was super excited to meet their son once he made his arrival too! Lincoln gave me a run for my money and was probably one of the toughest babies I’ve photographed, but I eventually “won” and we got so many amazing images of him… including some with a special fisherman outfit that his mommy brought just for him. It’s always so fun to get to incorporate meaningful items into photography sessions because those memories will last a lifetime.

Normally for 6 month old sessions I kindly suggest parents to wait… just be patient and wait an extra month or two if it takes that long for your child to sit up unassisted. It will make the entire session go so much more smoothly. And after all, milestones are about just that… the milestones they are hitting! So obviously as a photographer I can work magic around that and edit out hands if I want to (haha) but I would much rather be editing extra pictures of your little ones! Here is a little collage from Emerie’s 6 month old milestone session. She was so sweet and smiley! I used one of my FAVORITE set-ups with her which is the cream bed set-up… it is such a classic and one of my “staples” in the studio! And one of my favorite colors for little girl’s sessions too… purple! See the cuteness below:

Hailey Turns Two… and gets to ride on a carousel horse! | Wisconsin Child Photographer

Hailey turns 2! For her milestone session we had a blast. We did part of it indoors and part of it outdoors. OF COURSE outdoors was my favorite because let’s face it, after being cooped up inside all winter in Wisconsin… and then for most of this Spring too… um yeah, I need more green and sunshine in my life. But her entire session was truly adorable. Below are some of my favorites from the outdoor portion! Her mommy and daddy even trusted my photographer vision enough to let me use a carousel horse prop (thanks to my amazing husband for creating and welding a base for it — another one of my crazy craigslist finds!) for a few images and it turned out soooo gorgeous if I do say so myself! In fact I’m thinking the carousel horse may need be to offered in the future for special stylized sessions with some pretty streamers behind it, etc. oooohhh… but before I keep daydreaming too much more… here is beautiful, spunky little Hailey:
